I started with a maternity top and an old black shirt to make a pair of pants. I used the basic kid pants pattern from Made and lined the pants with the black shirt. I also recycled an old elastic waistband.
The pants are combined with a nautical feel sweater, made from an old v-neck. It's a navy blue knit and I used the raglan t-shirt pattern by blooms and bugs and hemmed the neckline for a more sailor look. The sweater ended up a bit too large for little rascal, so his big brother will probably be wearing it more. As it turned out, he could even fit into the pants as well. An outfit suitable for both rascals at the same time, that really is repurposing :)
Those trousers are gorgeous! They look so comfy! The whole outfit is great :-)

Thank you Theresa. I do like lining the pants, they turn out a lot warmer and softer. With Dana's pattern it's a quick and easy job :)
