Birthday present, a little bunny Rowan tee

My friend Pienkel and I have a nice tradition going on, sending the kids a little something on their birthday. This weekend Pienkel's youngest is turning two! Happy birthday little miss L! (Oh and do check out the gorgeous partydress Pienkel made her daughter!)

I decided to make her a Rowan tee (pattern by Titchy Threads), my current addiction. It's fun to sew up something girly for a change, but also challenging, what fabric to use? I chose a blue/white polkadot knit out of my stash, you can never go wrong with polkadots for a girl, right?
For a bit of extra fun, I added a pair of self drafted bunny ears to the hood. The hood already exists out of three pattern pieces, so this is a quick and easy extra feature. Cute!

We have another birthday to celebrate this weekend, my own little rascal is turning three. Wondering what his party outfit will look like? Stay tuned!
