I sewed my favorite for the series today, the free 2T small fry skinny jeans by Titchy Threads. Frequent readers of my blog have seen quite some small fry skinnies pass by already. Actually I sewed along with the initial release of this free 2T pattern and won the linkup party!
Not only did I use the free pattern today, I also chose "free" fabric. The entire pattern is cut out of an old pair of maternity pants and the buttons and buttonhole elastic are also recycled. The fabric is a stretchy dark blue corduroy. The contrasting black and white dotted fabric comes from a curtain sample. Okay, are you ready for some pictures?
For those of you not familiar with Laura's patterns, they are just spot on! Good fit, great tutorial, perfect for all sewing levels. Can't fit your kid in a 2T? No worries, you can buy the full pattern with a size range up to 12 years, it's definitely worth it!
Don't forget to hop over to Gemia at Phat Quarters and Maegan at Mae & K today to check out the small fry skinnies they made.
