This week the kids all get to dress up as superheroes for class and together they're going to clean the planet. I hope something rubbs off and he starts small by putting away his toys ;)
Unfortunately our boys aren't really fond of dressing up. Hats and capes get thrown off immediately around here. So I made little rascal a practical outfit, suitable for gymclass and still superhero like.
The tank is the Twisted Tank by Titchy Threads. Laura recently added a regular tank to her Twisted Tank pattern. You can see that's the one I used here. A superquick sew with a perfect fit. It's just really fun sewing up these tanks, instant satisfaction!
I added some appliques to the tank, a lightening bolt in the shape of an S(uper) and the F, the first letter of my little boys name. The appliques are made from fleece (Ikea blankets).
I paired the tank with some sweatpants little rascal needed anyway. I used the Aviator pants pattern by Winter Wear Designs. Since these are just going to be used at the gym I skipped all the pocket options and made the most basic version.
For even more of a superhero look I added a pair of armcuffs made with fleece and velcro. The cuffs turned out to be a bridge too far, little rascal refuses to wear them. Oh well....Ready to clean the world!!
Do your kids like to dress up?
