Wild camper Omni Tempore

Once I dust off a pattern I usually end up making two or three items at once. Today I'm sharing another Omni Tempore shirt by Sofilantjes (affiliate links) and it's the first time I used a jersey knit instead of sweater fabric for this pattern.

My son loves it, the jersey knit is just as soft and it's even easier to get on and off. That's a big plus, especially on gym class days! Oh and take a look at that hood, I really like the oversized hood look the Omni has.

The tipi is added with fabric paint and it immidiately brought a smile to his face. It isn't very often he gets clothes with text or images on it, but this tipi has been lingering in my mind for a while now. I see a lot of tees and sweaters with some sort of camping application out there and always love them, probably because we're all camping fanatics over here.

I must admit it's easy for me to stick to clothes I like because the boys really don't care, they put on whatever is in front of them and like everything I make for them.

  3. I saw it on instagram and love it! My too older kids begin to complaim about colours and apliqués , so not everything I want to sew they would use :(

  9. Hello! (I found a link to your post in an FB group) This is adorable, I love it!!
I looked at the pattern; would you agree that it is easy for beginners, as the description suggests? I have sewn on and off for 5 yrs (but off for the last 2 and never a clothing pattern - mostly quilting and patchwork). Thanks!!

    1. Hi Rebekah, thanks! the pattern really is suitable for beginners. It's almost impossible to go wrong even if you haven't been sewing with knits a lot. You can always start with a version in sweater jersey that's even easier then a normal jersey.
