Mabel Madison's Boys Tour, Dots & Stripes

Hey everyone, nice you're visiting here again! And a special welcome for those of you hopping over from Mabel Madison today. I'm part of the boys blog tour Duds for Dudes and had the chance to work with some of Mabel Madison's great fabrics.

Did you know they have a section just for boys fabric on their website? I dove right in and almost immediately spotted a fantastic pin dotted chambray by Robert Kaufman. Number one on my wishlist! And since I love stripes my next choice was quickly made, a Stenzo jersey knit with mini stripes.

Mabel Madison fabricsA woven and a jersey, the best way to combine these two is (at least in my book) the Mulberry Tunic by Coffee & Thread (the artist formerly known as Kid Approved). The chambray worked perfectly with this pattern and the Stenzo knit has a really good quality and great stretch recovery. No flimsey jersey here!

Unfortunately we had rain all week, so indoor pictures it is. I had planned to snap some pictures near our lake, they just smartened up the quay and it's really crispy white for now (let's count the days till the first graffiti re-emerges). Oh well, you'll just have to imagine that shoot ;)

I'm quite pleased with little rascal's new Mulberry. The fabrics are perfect for those warm summer days you want to dress your kids in something cool and breezy!

Curious what else Mabel Madison has in store for boys? Do check out the other boys tour makings!

* I received these fabrics by Mabel Madison as a gift for my post in this blogtour. However all opinions are as always honest and my own.

  1. It's always so refreshing to see something meant just for boys! Love this! The Mulberry is such a great pattern. Chambray and knit are one of my favourite fabric combinations and don't get me started on stripes! Love everything about it! Perfect for little rascals indeed!

  5. I love the tunic! I'll definitely need to grab more of the chambray pin dot so I can make something for my son.
