Anchors aweigh, the Sweet Mercerie Greenwood Tank and #londonsewsocial giveaway

Ahoy readers, are you ready to win some fun goodies? Today I get to make some of you pretty happy with the first part of our #londonsewsocial giveaway. First part? Yep, there's more in store for you, thanks to all our lovely sponsors! But first I'm showing off some selfies, so keep reading till the end!

Greenwood Tank (pattern Straight Stitch Designs) in Sweet Mercerie jerseyThe Sweet Mercerie gave us some cool jersey knits and a fantastic transparant and delicate crepe (is that the right English word? not sure how to describe it). I got my eyes on the anchor knit to make something for the rascals, but ended up making something for me instead. This good quality knit with the right amount of stretch and not see through (very important!) was the perfect match for the Greenwood Tank kindly donated to me by  Straight Stitch Designs.

I love wearing tanks in summer, and we really need some real summer over here (hence the indoor pictures). This tank pattern is an easy sew with a good fit, I didn't even had to add length, that's quite unique! The pattern comes with two back options, a traditional high back neckline or a low one just like the front.

  1. I've been wanting to make the Greenwood Tank. I would have lengthened too, I like them long. Good to know there is no need. Yours looks great. Love the fabric.

  2. Ik moest even googlen wat Sew Social was :)
Hemdjes naaien voor de zomer daar ben ik nog niet aan begonnen. Maar leuk om alvast een voorbeeld te zien.
