Outfit envy, can I be a 7 year old again?

Do you recognize that feeling of outfit envy when you made something for your kids? First of all, kids look good in anything you put on them, I wish that was the same for me. And second, oh those comfy fabrics!

Zou jij ook wel weer eens 7 willen zijn, alleen om in de kleding van je kinderen te passen? Ten eerste omdat alles ze zo goed staat (ik zou willen dat het voor mij ook zo makkelijk was) en ten tweede vanwege die heerlijk comfortabele stoffen!

Today's hoodie is one of those comfy perfections in stripe loopback sweatshirting by NOSH. This sweatshirt jersey is one of their new NOSH fabrics , a range with a lot of stripes. Yay for stripes!

De outfit van vandaag is heerlijk comfortabel in een gestreepte sweaterstof van NOSH, een van de nieuwe reeks NOSH stoffen, met veel streepjes. Hoera voor streepjes!

The fabric worked perfectly for the hoodie I made. And I had enough of the fabric left to make a pair of shorts as well. The sweatshirting is soft and sturdy and the inside is actually just as nice as the outside, I used it on the cuff of the hood and the waistband and hem of the shorts and really like that reversed look. I'm feeling very lucky to be able to cooperate with NOSH and trying out these fantastic fabrics.

Deze sweaterstof werkte perfect voor de capuchontrui die ik maakt en ik had genoeg over voor een korte broek. Het is fijne stevige stof en de binnenkant is eigenlijk net zo mooi als de buitenkant. Ik gebruikte deze daarom ook op de capuchon en de tailleband en omgekeerde zoom van de broek. Ik ben zo blij dat ik met NOSH mag samenwerken om deze fijne stoffen uit te proberen. 

Okay let's talk patterns, I made the Longihood (with adjustments to the hood) by Erbsenprinzessin, available in English (for those of you that aren't familiar with German) in the Näh-Connection shop. The shorts are part of the Domi sweatpants, a pattern by Sofilantjes

Goed, laten we eens naar de patronen kijken. Ik maakte  een Longihood van Erbsenprinzessin met wat aanpassingen aan de capuchon. De Longihood is ook verkrijgbaar als Engels patroon in de Näh-Connection shop (voor als je minder uit de voeten kan met Duits). De shorts zijn onderdeel van het Domi sweatpants patroon van Sofilantjes.

Needle and Ted was wondering recently if you can wear covered arms and exposed legs together. Actually that's what my boys (and me) wear all summer. With our Dutch summers layering is key!
But maybe in this case not necessarily as an outfit together :)

Zij vroeg zich pasgeleden af of je kleding met lange mouwen eigenlijk wel kan combineren met een korte broek. Dat is wat mijn jongens ( en ik) de hele zomer door dragen. Met onze Nederlandse zomers zijn laagjes geen overbodige luxe! Maar in dit specifieke geval wellicht niet als een outfit samen :)
