Sarouel for me

A year ago around this time little rascal was still a crawler, just not quite ready to start walking. I made him a whole bunch of sarouels for the summer, just under the knee for protection, following this tutorial by Judith. I even ended up sewing a long version for myself and although they never made it to the blog, I do wear them a lot. So when I spotted a bright green crinkle knit I knew I had to make another one. This really must be the the fastest pair of pants you can ever sew! I used my serger (yay, it's fixed again and working like a charm) and didn't even bother finishing the top of the sarouel or the legs at the ankles. Hello 5-minute pants! Sorry for the picture quality, I just can't seem to pose in front of the camera while someone else is taking pictures, so instead you get these selfies.

  1. These look so good on you! And what a great colour too. I was wondering about making harem pants by adjusting a leggings pattern but that tutorial looks really good too. Thanks for linking it!

  2. I think sarouels are so comfy, and that green knit is great. Thanks for sharing the tutorial.
