The Johnny B. Good Hoodie is a pattern by Shwin Designs for Go To Patterns (affiliate links) and I made it for my monthly ambassador round. It's a button up shirt with options for long or short sleeves, a hood or collar and additional shoulder patches. The size range is 12 months-8 years.
Ah did I say sleeve plackets? This is the second time I've sewn sleeve plackets, ever! I was a bit hesitant when I reached this step of the tutorial and let myself be distracted by taking on a completely different project instead of dealing with this right away.
Finally I gave myself the necessary kick in the butt and finished the shirt. The plackets required some thought but I managed by just following the tutorial and pictures closely. I would say some sewing experience is probably a good thing if you want to take on this pattern.
I made the size 4 in width with a 6 in length and the fit is perfect. Make sure you check the measurements table before you start cutting into your fabric. Combining the sizes is easy to do and definitely worth it!
My oldest is very pleased with this shirt, it's easy to take off on gymclass days, the flannel is nice and soft and it has a hood, win win win!
* I received this pattern for a review and blogpost. However all opinions are as always honest and my own. If you buy something on the Go To Patterns website via my affiliate links, I get a small commission, thank you for that!
