Actually this was really easy, all I did was make the Julia cardigan in a black jersey. That's all! No alterations, just following the pattern and tutorial as is. Matched with a black skirt and tee this feels quite festive to me. And after the holidays I'll just throw in somes jeans and have the perfect day to day outfit.
I made a size M with 3/4 sleeves and a no-hemming collar. Making this collar meant I had to cut the collar twice. I hesitated a little because of all the extra fabric I needed for this option but I'm really glad I did. It resulted in a very neat finish and also added some weight to the collar for a good drape.
* I received this pattern for a review and blogpost. However all opinions are as always honest and my own. If you buy something on the Go To Patterns website via my affiliate links, I get a small commission, thank you for that!
It looks really chic and elegant -- perfect for the holiday season! And you can never go wrong with black, I say! That reminds me, I need to make this cardi, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Emi! Looking forward to see yours :)
DeleteLooks great! I have plans to make it in a black nicky velours... How's the length?
ReplyDeleteThe length is great, I didn't need to add any this time.
