Glitter for boys? The Ziggy Stardust Top

Hey everyone and a special welcome for those of you who found my little corner of the sewing world through the PR&P link-up. Week 3 of Project Run & Play wasn't an easy one for me. This weeks theme, all that glitters, isn't exactly up my alley. But hey I do like a challenge, so I present you my Ziggy Stardust Top (the Ziggy Top is a design by Madeit Patterns).

I've made quite some Ziggy's before and doing a Ziggy Stardust version has been on my list for some time now. The glitter theme seemed to be the best moment to finally realise this plan.

I had a bit of an argument with the grey jersey I used (an upcycled sweatshirt), it's quite thin and stretchy and we had different ideas when it came down to the hemming, but it turned out all right. Not the most neat looking hem I ever did, but it will do.

  3. I love the look of the stripes with the glitter lightening bolt! Glitter paint is not really something I do but I might have to give it a go now
