Cool Flakes in springtime #londonsewsocial #kcw

I've got a multi-purpose post for you today. When #londonsewsocial meets #kidsclothesweek so to speak. Yes Kids Clothes Week spring edition starts today and I'm really looking forward to getting some hours in. Especially since I've been struggling with my sewing machine for about a week now and it looks like I finally solved it (my lower thread was too loose and it was driving me crazy).

Anyway, I went through the boys closets and they're actually in need of everything; pants, shirts, shorts, you name it and they've got holes in them. So I'm prepping myself for a whole new wardrobe. Perfect timing to use the really cool boys jersey I got from #londonsewsocial sponsor Joy Fits.

Joyfits is a Dutch online fabric shop specialised in jersey. Marloes has something for everyone whether you like solids, stripes, dots or prints. I spotted this Cool Flakes bio jersey by Zonen09 in her shop and just had to have it, so cool and fun!

The pattern I used is the ADV tee by Sofilantjes. A nice slim fit tee with a v-neck. I made the size 4 and added 5 cm to the bottom for the perfect length. Instead of hemming the sleeves I decided to add some cuffs. Actually, this is the first time I ever sewed a v-neck, but with Anne's tutorial, you can't go wrong!
