Endless summer Bucket shorts, a test for rabbit rabbit creations

This week Rabbit Rabbit Creations releases the first wave of the Endless Summer Collection. I had the chance to test the Bucket shorts. A great boys pattern, thanks to the (very cool) big pockets. Perfect for collecting rocks or taking along toy cars. I tested a size 3 for little rascal, who's the big rock collector in our family.
This pattern is perfect for some fun colour blocking. I used a woven dark blue from an old pair of pants, a stretch denim and a stripey tablecloth (Ikea) for this pair.
It's a pretty easy sew, the pattern instructions are clearly written, with enough pictures for a visual explanation. Just make sure you pin down the pockets with a lot of pins while sewing them into the front and back part. I rushed a bit through that part and as a result it didn't line up evenly at the top for attaching the waistband. It was easily fixed, but I'll take more care next time.
Unfortunately we're heading into winter over here, I'm hoping this pair will still fit next spring and summer. If not, I'm sure I'll be making both the rascals a couple new ones!
