Rabbit Rabbit CreationsRabbit Rabbit Creations has quite a range of simple, classic designs perfect for this warm weather. The patterns are mainly girl and women orientated, but you can also find a couple of little gems that are great for boys. The bucket shorts are one of them, I was in Jasmin's bucket shorts tester group and the pair I made back then (in the middle of our winter) now gets a lot of wear over here.
Today I get to share another great boys shorts pattern, the Surfer Shorts!
Surfer ShortsThe Surfer Shorts pattern has a size range from 1-12 years and there's a size chart you can check to personalize the fit. I made my rascals a size 3 in width combined with a size 5 and a size 4 in length. An easy adjustment with a good result.
The pattern works for both woven and stretch fabrics, so I made two different versions. My youngest loves "soft pants" so he got a jersey pair.
The oldest got a pair made with a fantastic double cloth cotton by Robert Kaufman I won over at Imagine Gnats. The fabric is reversible so I used both sides on these shorts.
I really like the look of these, they're just cool and for the boys extremely comfy with the loose legs and elastic in the waistband. And also good to mention, they're just so quick to sew up, I did both these pants in an afternoon. I'm planning to make the rascals both a pair in real swimshort material to wear at the beach.
Do you want the chance to sew up the Surfer Shorts for your boys too? Or maybe make a cool girls version? Well you could be the lucky winner of this pattern, and that's not all! Jasmin is so generous to add two additional patterns of your own to choice to the price pack as well. Three Rabbit Rabbit Creations patterns, how about that! All you have to do is enter the rafflecopter below. It's open from today till Monday the 13th. Good luck!
