Wooohooo, have you heard? Project Run & Play is back, old school style! That means 6 participants, 4 challenges and of course, the sew along! I did some of the challenges of season 8, 9 and 10 (you can see my posts
here) and I'm so glad it's back. I love to sew with a theme in mind and make my own (wearable) interpretation. The fun starts next Monday, but I just couldn't wait!

The first challenge is all about knits. Ha, that's an easy one, my youngest loves everything made with knits, especially pants, Yay you made soft pants for me, can I put them on and never take off? Sounds familiar?

Despite his love for soft pants, I don't like my little rascal running around in joggers all the time. So I searched for a nice knit pants pattern without the joggerpants look. Something suitable for wearing to school instead of just using them on pyjamadays and gymclass. I found the right look in the last Ottobre design, issue 1/2016. A slimfit pants with a faux fly, pockets and an elastic waistband.
I used a nice quilted sweaterknit and yellow topstitching thread. Mission accomplished!

The sweater has been in the back of my mind for quite some time. Ever since I made this
Mulberry Tunic (pattern by
Coffee and Thread for Willow & Co that was given to me as part of the #parissewsocial sponsorship) I planned to do a longsleeved knit version. Especially when I spotted
this stunning sweater by Mie. I made a size 3 and added quite some length so it will last longer. The colourscheme? No surprise there; stripes, blue/grey and a hood, that's my go to ensemble.

And now I'll just wait impatiently for next week to see what the designers made with this theme.
Bizar!
ReplyDeleteLeuk die verschillen tussen kinderen :)
DeleteThis is all kinds of cool! Love the whole outfit so much - comfortable and so stylish!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Olga!
DeleteHeel tof!
ReplyDeleteKnap! Leuk gebruik van de doorstikte stof. Zo ben ik het nog niet tegengekomen. Denk dat hier ook zo'n broek volgt ;)
