Another day, another KCW blogpost. I had so much fun working on the shorts I'm about to show you. I went wild on some blue sweater fleece I had in my stash, using bleach and fabric paint and impatiently waiting for it to dry. In the end the fabric turned out just as I hoped it would. Unfortunately this fabric is hard to photograph, it is much brighter in reality.
The pattern is yet again the
Domi Sweat Pants (by Sofilantjes), a size 4 with a 6 in length and inserted pockets instead of topstitched to the outside of the legs.
The fake drawstrings are actually my old festival wristbands. I'm way too old to keep collecting them on my wrists and wear them permanently (yes I did that as a teen), but somehow I find it difficult to throw them away. I'm glad hanging on to them payed off! Pretty cool, huh?
That is so cool!! Reusing the wristbands is such a clever idea and it looks great!
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric of the shorts!
By the way, the Instagram button doesn't seem to work. I did find your account, but maybe you can look into that :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up lunatiek! I'll look into that. And thanks for following me :)
